Best Golf Outing Gifts
Who should pay for things? Guys? Split? Do I have to treat him more?
My boyfriend of 6 months takes me out to dinner on our monthly anniversaries and pays for dinner while I pay the tip. He buys me nice gifts but I also get him stuff too like sports tickets, cologne, clothes... He usually drives everywhere and often pays for small things like ice cream or mini golf. Sometimes I'll drive or pay for both of us or myself. We are both 18.
He confronted me after we went on a double date with his best friends. I did think he'd pay, since it was a double date with his friends, but when the check came he only put out his share of the bill while his best friend paid for both himself and his girlfriend. I awkwardly paid for my half and we had a talk after. He says I expect him to pay all the time. I really don't, he just always offers. I feel like boyfriends should treat their girlfriends more often though? I always say thank you and appreciate when he does pay. I never know how to handle things with him when the bill comes! How can I fix this situation?
You guys should figure out who is paying before you go out anywhere,that way there is no confusion with the bill comes.I'm guessing after 6 months you do not live together yet,when you do it won't matter who pays.I have lived with my boyfriend for nine months and we have always shared everything and we just ask the other of they have money on them or we both offer to pay sometimes.If I were you I would just start paying for your own meals ect.and see how he responds.Taking turns is always good also.I hope something in here helps you
